Hello, and welcome to my website. My name is Jo Ellery.

I am a fourth-year PhD student, jointly at Harvard University and Harvard Business School. My research combines theory and empirical evidence to understand the consequences of regulation, both intended and unitended, and how regulation can best achieve the implementation of laws. I have a particular interest in education and envirionmental regulation.

Before beginning my PhD, I worked as an Investment Associate at Bridgewater Associates. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in 2021 with a B.A. in applied mathematics and a langauage citation in Mandarin Chinese.
