I'm Jo Ellery, a fifth-year PhD student jointly at Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
My research uses theory and empirical methods to examine the consequences of regulation, with a focus on how regulatory design and implementation shape the realization of law in practice. I am particularly interested in transportation, education, and environmental regulation.
Before beginning my PhD, I was an Investment Associate at Bridgewater Associates. I received an A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 2021, magna cum laude, with a language citation in Mandarin Chinese.
